How the Law of One Captures the Fundamentals of Mastering Your Life
After more than a decade of learning, practicing, and sharing the Fundamentals of the Master Key Experience (MKE) with others, I’ve noticed a recurring challenge for most students as they struggle to find a strong, lasting source of motivation — one that will keep them practicing all the Fundamentals long enough for these practices to become true habits in their daily lives.
As a result, they miss out on the full potential of these powerful exercises and aren’t rewarded for all the effort they invested in studying them in the first place.
Having been caught in that very same trap myself (after all, we cannot see in others what we haven’t first seen in ourselves!), I’d like to share in this article a glimpse of what has become, for me, an unshakable source of motivation — one that inspires me to integrate not just a few, but all the MKE practices (which by the way, why I call them Fundamentals) into my daily life.
And that source of motivation is called “The Law of One.”
What is the Law of One?
The Law of One is the universal truth that all is One.
It is the understanding that all is intelligent consciousness-energy, and that everything in the universe is connected — or that all things are made of intelligent energy and are part of the Great Whole.
While this definition is conceptually easy to grasp, its practical implications are literally beyond the reach of our mental faculties, which are strictly incapable of conceiving what this truly means in reality.
For example, physicist Nassim Haramein — who recently solved, much to the dismay of the academic world, the puzzle of unifying the strong forces (like gravity) and weak forces (such as atomic-level bonds) — has come to the mathematical conclusion that all the information of the universe is contained within each proton in the nucleus of every atom in the universe.
If this is real – and I believe it is – it would mean that, just within our physical body, we hold the totality of the universe’s information reproduced billions upon billions of times in each and every one of our cells!
I don’t know about you, but for me, that’s dizzying the moment I try to truly imagine it!
Fortunately, we don’t need to understand the unimaginable mechanisms that make such a wonder possible in order to benefit from them since they operate according to a set of natural laws and principles that are within our reach in our current state of consciousness, such as the Law of One.

Two thousand years ago, the Great Teacher Himself already perfectly summed up the Law of One in a single sentence: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
If we explore the full depth of this brilliant advice, we discover the rules for proper relationships between all beings — and all the principles of the Law of One.
In this article, I’d like to share with you about the first two of these principles: Unity Consciousness and Loving Oneself.
First Principle: Unity Consciousness
Unity Consciousness is the understanding that everything is made of intelligent consciousness-energy and is connected to the Whole.
The substance that links all things together is also consciousness-energy, because nothing else exists. But it is a particular type of organic consciousness. It is the consciousness that emanates from the Infinite Creator — what some call God, and what we’ve come to call here “the Source of all good” or “the Source” in short.
This particular organic consciousness-energy emanating from the Source — thus eternal by nature — bears a name everybody knows: Love.
This eternal love-consciousness, when it imbues a form (like a Human Being for example), gives rise to the intelligence of unity, and it is this innate intelligence of unity that is embodied within us and connects us directly to each other and to divinity.
That said, in order to practice Unity Consciousness in our current state of consciousness still imbued with dualism and materialism, we must still demonstrate faith — that is, voluntarily believe in the accuracy of its definition — because we cannot yet grasp it as an absolute truth in our current awakened state.
We can understand and accept the logic of the definition, but it remains limited to our intellect, emotions, and feelings.
By directing our faith toward the reality of Unity Consciousness, we place it also into our heart, and in doing so we facilitate reconnection with our soul — which does perceive Unity Consciousness as an absolute truth.
By working day after day at practicing the fundamentals of The Master Key System through the Master Key Experience (MKE) class and exercises, we gradually integrate the awareness that we are an integral component of the group consciousness known as the Human Race, and that every one of our thoughts and actions impacts this collective.
By adding humility above the fundamentals of MKE, we can gradually dismantle the ego layers and lower personality, which constantly seek to impose personal will, even to the detriment of the collective.

Here again, specific practices of the MKE, such as having no opinion and practicing the mental diet, can work wonders.
When we succeed in breaking through the ego barriers, we naturally reconnect with the intelligence of Unity, and we regain access to universal information from the unified field — which clearly contains the purpose of our life mission here on Earth.
In summary, unity consciousness is the understanding that we, like everything else in the universe, are made of consciousness-energy, and are connected to the Whole through a particular consciousness-energy emanating from the Source — called Love.
We align ourselves more and more fully with Unity Consciousness by maintaining our faith in it and by practicing humility and the fundamentals of the MKE, until all layers of the ego-personality are dismantled and re-harmonized to serve the collective.
This noble work also accelerates the raise of our consciousness, eventually allowing a full reconnection with our Soul, and, in parallel, a long-term improvement of our physical and mental health.
Second Principle: Loving Oneself
The idea here is to recognize the precious and sacred life force that resides within us.
How do we do this?
By respecting and honoring ourselves in every possible way. Not from the ego stand point. Say it out loud.
“Yes! I am the most powerful being in the universe, I deserve all honors…”
Say it out loud but from the heart — for example:
“I honor the greatness within me, and I find ways to place it in service to others.”
Loving oneself is a fundamental act of personal sovereignty, because it is the natural state of the love-consciousness that incarnated within us, directly from the Source.
As a direct manifestation of this love-consciousness coming in straight line from the divine, we have the power to create more freedom in our lives without harming others.
By finding the courage to overcome our fears and wounds, we can gradually become this love-consciousness by expressing it consistently in our daily actions.
This progressively reconnects us with our soul, which in turn allows us to experience true happiness.
Because as long as we are disconnected from our soul, our reality remains partially or entirely governed by the need for control, manipulation, competition, justification, etc. — all behaviors emanating from our ego-personality disconnected from the heart and operating under an unhealthy “Service to Self” consciousness (by contrast to a healthy “Service to Others” consciousness), largely programmed by the River of Dreams.
Obviously, self-love and self-esteem are extremely difficult in a world where all values are reversed, and where those who champion justice, beauty, kindness, and consciousness are regularly persecuted, soiled, and ridiculed.
To conceive of self-love only within the dualistic and materialistic context — that is, based solely on our temporary physical identity — is totally insufficient, and even counter to our true evolution as a Human Being.

We must learn to love ourselves as cosmic and eternal beings, sovereign and free.
To do this — and without falling into paranoia or fear — we must be aware that since time immemorial, our perception of reality has been manipulated in all domains of existence to an extent that we eventually became completely ignorant of our true nature and our true reality.
By the way, that is what Eastern cultures are naming the “Maya” or the great Illusion.
By taking back control of our perceptions, we can gradually reconnect with who we truly are — with our true cosmic reality in which we live — and ultimately, reconnect with our respective spiritual missions — which will allow us to truly attain the level of Self-Love necessary to align with the Law of One and its related Universal Laws and Principles.
“Nothing can bring you peace but yourself.”
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
True self-love has thus nothing earthly about it — I mean, it cannot depend on our physical appearance, or others’ opinions, or our social status, or our wealth, etc.
At the contrary, true Self-Love is directly linked to our inner peace, which can only be attained through emotional mastery and through awareness of the true functioning of the world we live in.
This world riddled with consciousness traps (that we symbolically represented by the “River of Dreams” metaphor) are designed to distort our perception of reality, and thus, in a way, to lead us into self-deception by violating Universal Laws.
This happens automatically resulting in suffering, a lack of self-love, and inevitably, a lack of love for others, keeping us trapped in a never-ending vicious cycle with no visible way out, except the practice of the Law of One.
Self-love, then, is about learning to identify within oneself the behaviors that are healthy and those that are abusive — toward oneself and toward others — through the use of our inner observer.
We can then gradually discern the energetic differences between these two types of behavior and increasingly identify them when these energies appear within or around us.
We thus reclaim responsibility for the energetic currents flowing through us, and for the energetic consequences of adopting one thought or action over another, regardless of what is happening in the outside world.
From this state of awareness, the patient and systematic practice of the MKE Fundamentals in our daily life takes on its full meaning, since it helps us taking control of our thoughts and adopting the right healthy mindset.
In conclusion, inner peace and self-love are not a matter of luck, but the fruit of spiritual work — which can be neither shortcut, nor bought with any currency, and can only be done by oneself, the Law of One.

That’s why I invite you to let yourself be infused with the high frequencies of the words: kindness, beauty, wisdom, harmony, life, splendor, peace, love, benevolence, compassion, gentleness, respect.
Next, I invite you to practice on a consistent basis the Fundamentals of the MKE, so that these words and these practices give you the courage and strength to accomplish this spiritual work so deeply desired by your soul.
I remember the time when I considered the call to unconditional love as utopian, even dangerous for my life…
That was simply because I was still too conditioned by the River of Dreams and incapable of perceiving the invincibility of the ones who are imbued, in every cell and every fiber of their being, with that elevated love-consciousness.
On these last words, I wish you the best in the reconquest of your true Self through the practice of the MKE Fundamentals and of the Law of One.

As you say, it hasn’t been easy to grasp this understanding (inner standing) for many new members.
OMG, seriously Luc, we need to write a Master Course to grasp this Truth.
After the 26 week course, there can be the post-graduate course supporting members to go deeper and deeper into their universal one with the source incorporating MKE and more that we study as a springboard!
My hand is up!
I agree, Carolyn. This post is beautifully written and a perfect reminder to keep our priorities front and centre. Yay, Luc!
I agree, Day. He’s put his words around true self care, true self love that’s saturated with Source Care and Love.
Luc, you’ve done the seemingly impossible here…finding words to describe what often evades words. Thank you for reminding us of each one’s call to dimensionless LOVE and Source-Power and being a channel to the depths of each of our cells. I especially love this: “I honor the greatness within me, and I find ways to place it in service to others.” THANK YOU!
Thank you for clearly showing us love and explaining this complex idea.
This blog is absolutely amazing! It’s so full of bright ideas and happy thoughts about connecting with the world and loving yourself. You just wanna share it with all your friends!
Luc, your post beautifully reminded me that true self-love and unity are not distant ideals but accessible through consistent inner work. Thank you for such meaningful guidance.
What a magnificent viewpoint of taking care, really taking care, of oneself. Thank you so much for sharing your deep insight, Luc. it’s powerful and extremely important information.
