This week has been another “AH-HA” week for me. Given this past weeks work and personal schedules, I knew I wasn’t going to have time to even breathe. Then I opted to work even more overtime because someone had to put their cat down today (random acts of kindness, right :)) Given any other time, I would have worried myself to death over “How am I going to get everything accomplished?”. But as Og writes in Scroll V……whatever we become conscious of, is invariably manifested in the objective world, is brought forth into tangible expression. 21-2 What we think about
GROWS!
… Why should I throw now after maybe? Can tomorrow’s sand flow through the glass before today’s? Will the sun rise twice this morning? Can I perform tomorrow’s deeds while standing in today’s path? Can I place tomorrow’s gold in today’s purse? Can tomorrow’s child be born today? Can tomorrow’s death cast it’s shadow backward and darken today’s joy? Should I concern myself over events which I may never witness? Should I torment myself with problems that may never come to pass. NO! Tomorrow lies buried with yesterday, and I think of it no more. Not sure how many ways Og could write this but I think he made his point clear (to me anyways)… Focus on what you got in front of you at that moment. Living life MOMENT by MOMENT. Good or bad, live in the NOW. Needless to say my week flew by and I wasn’t terribly stressed! Success! I kept repeating to myself “tomorrow lies buried with yesterday” and moved on. Everything got done, might not have been on the exact schedule I was hoping for but at the end of the week… everything was checked off my list and with little stressed involved!!! Whew
“The ability to eliminate imperfect conditions depends upon mental action, and mental action depends upon consciousness of power; therefore, the more conscious we become of our unity with the source of all poet, the greater will be our power to control and master every condition.” 21-5 “This mental attitude is our personality and is composed of the thoughts which we have been creating in our own mind; therefore, if we wish a change in conditions all that is necessary is to change our thought; this will in turn change our mental attitude, which will in turn change our personality, which will in turn change the persons, things and conditions, or, the experience with which we meet in life” 21-13When I started thinking of JUST TODAY, the mental diet became easier for me. It wasn’t OMG 6 more days to go, it was just today. Then the next day, JUST TODAY. It became manageable… Reeling in my “I got to plan 5 years in advance” to “What’s going on today” made my head stop spinning which in turn lowered my stress and made me a happier individual causing my negativeness to slowly dissipate. Now that my stress level has made it’s way down to normalcy… I’ve decided to get my MKMMA stuff organized. My note cards were all tattered and torn from being pulled in and out of my purse through the days so I found a note card holder at Staples to keep my precious gratitudes and daily readings in. Made templates on my computer to print everything out and have a system now. I thought about keeping everything on the computer instead of physical cards BUT I do think signing our name to something has a mental affirmation to it that you will do it.Can I get a AMEN!!!?? LOL
