I think some see it as serving themselves after a certain age. Some see it as a way to serve others full time after their career has ended. It may be the circle of people they are listening to in the outside world as to how they view the meaning of it. Your blog definitely has me thinking. Until one understands what their purpose is how do they know what will bring them joy and harmony in their golden years?
