Once I learned about The Hero’s Journey… it’s presence in every story, the seed in every human life that whispers, calling us to step into our potential… it forever changed the way I approached goal setting. Once one discovers their true purpose and gets clarity on their hearts desire, it becomes pretty obvious why most goal-setting efforts fail.

I wrote dozens of goal statements that never came true. Eventually I realized they were usually about things I thought I SHOULD want rather than my true hearts desire.

It takes most people a lot of contemplation to discover what they really want. But once you figure it out, setting smarter goals is easy…. they become those milestones or markers along the path to your bliss.

The 7 Day Mental Diet is one such exercise, so easy to read about, more fun to be challenged doing it!
I’ve found that when I apply the knowledge via the exercises, it’s so much better than just reading a self-help book and ticking it off the list.
