I suppose that everyone I know is familiar with the phrase, “Time flies when you’re having fun.” It’s one of those sayings that can be used genuinely or sarcastically – same words, completely different meaning. Context is the determining factor.

Ten weeks have passed since I began this incredible adventure through The Master Key System by George Haanel. Over 250 others who joined in a Master Mind Alliance, being guided by the careful direction of Mark J and Company, have completed our first Trimester of our journey.  I would like to offer my own version of the “time flies” saying:

Time flies when you’re doing something that you believe in.

Let me recap some of the key concepts that we’ve explored to date:

• The Subconscious makes all the decisions.
• Mind is cause, condition is effect.
• The World without reflects the World within.
• Whatever I think about grows.
• Thoughts are mental building materials.
• Concentration is a necessary building skill.
•  Idealization–Visualization-Realization is the mental building process.
• Engage the law of Attraction through Earnest Desire-Confident Expectation-Firm Demand.

I have some good news and some bad news.

The good news is that this is highly valued knowledge – and the list doesn’t even mention anything that I’ve gleaned from The Greatest Salesman in the World by Og Mandino, or other pieces from Ralph Waldo Emerson, John Wooden, Emmett Fox and Napoleon Hill.

The bad news is that knowledge is like paint. It doesn’t do much good until it is applied.

If you prefer, here is Haanel’s version of good news/bad news:

(Bad News) Knowledge will not apply itself. You must make the application. Abundance will not come to you out of the sky, neither will it drop into your lap,…

(Good News) …but a conscious realization of the law of attraction and the intention to bring it into operation for a certain, definite and specific purpose, and the will to carry out this purpose will bring about the materialization of your desire by a natural law of transference.

But the Best News is that, for 10 weeks now, through the disciplines of this Course, I have been learning to apply knowledge!

Do you see why I say, “Time flies when you’re doing something that you believe in”?
